The Tasmanian Football Foundation Coaching Mentor Program was launched in February 2018 and mentors are now out right across the state, working with junior coaches to assist and develop them on their journey in the game.
We will continuing providing updates on the Mentors as they work with junior coaches and share some of their stories and experiences.
Blair Brownless is one of the mentors and has commenced work with the North Hobart Junior Football Club.

Coach Feedback from Kim Excell (Under 8 Red)…
We appreciated Blair’s time and professional assistance with the North Hobart Reds under 8’s team recently. The players enjoyed the new drills and it has assisted their development this year. Blair has also improved my knowledge in regards to junior coaching.
Parent Feedback on coach mentor Blair Brownless…
It was the first time that someone has told Lachlan what to focus on when kicking the ball and his improvement since your visit has been amazing. On the weekend he was clearly North Hobarts best player with 8-10 marks and 15-20 possessions which is way out of character but a lot of that comes from confidence is kicking the ball now.
It was great to have Blair assist our coaches in teaching our juniors the finer points of the game. Our coaches are all volunteers and they appreciated the opportunity to be shown different ways to convey a message and to teach the skills of the game. The coaches were all very positive about the help Blair provided and North Hobart Junior Football Club looks forward to being involved with this program into the future.
