Jack Riewoldt – Richmond #8

TSL Club Represented: Clarence

It’s been said many a time within this article series this season and it will be said again after Friday night, Jack Riewoldt is a star and is on fire in 2018. The Tigers’ second best player on the ground, Jack kicked 4.1 and provided a highlight reel assist for Jason Castagna within his 10 disposals. Riewoldt still sits in equal fourth for the Coleman Medal alongside Hawks small forward Luke Breust. AFL Fantasy Points: 69

Toby Nankervis – Richmond #25

Joining Riewoldt in the Tigers best players, Nankervis produced another grand performance on Friday night. Despite his efficiency dropping to 39%, Nankervis was always involved in the contest with 33 hit-outs, 18 disposals, three marks and three tackles along with kicking 1.1. Lining up against first gamer Ryan Abbott, Nank got the better of the youngster and added to his reputation among the premier rucks. Jake Kolodjashnij – Geelong #8

TSL Club Represented: Launceston

A quieter game on the disposal front for Jake Kolodjashnij, but it seems to be that way at least once a month for the Cats defender. Picking up the five touches, along with five tackles and five one-percenters, Jake chipped in and played his role for the Cats by intercepting possession (four intercepts) and linking up play with both an inside and rebound 50s. AFL Fantasy Points: 33

Jackson Thurlow – Geelong #40

TSL Club Represented: Launceston

Returning to the Geelong side after ruckman Rhys Stanley was a late out with a calf complaint, Thurlow streamed through the middle for the Cats. Collecting 11 disposals at an efficiency of 54%, Thurlow was able to find space for nine uncontested possessions and created opportunities in both attack and defence with three inside 50’s and two rebound 50s. Unfortunately the performance wasn’t enough to keep Thurlow in the best 22. AFL Fantasy Points: 42

Mitch Robinson – Brisbane #5

Possibly his best game since returning from injury in Round 15, ‘Robbo’ was instrumental in the Lions’ tight loss to the Kangaroos on Saturday. Collecting 23 disposals at a clean 74% efficiency, kicking 2.2 and racking up nine marks, Robinson was absolutely everywhere and showed why Brisbane campaigned so hard to get him in their colours several years ago. AFL Fantasy Points: 115

Ben Brown – North Melbourne #50

TSL Club Represented: Devonport/ Glenorchy

Ben Brown was kept quiet once again by premier defender Harris Andrews upon his return from injury, being restricted to one goal. Brown was able to spread up the ground to help out for the Roos however, collecting 12 touches at 83% and delivering four inside 50’s in the tight win. Now leading the Coleman by the slender margin of four goals over Buddy Franklin, Brown needs a big week soon to ensure the medal. AFL Fantasy Points: 56

Jesse Lonergan – Gold Coast #7

Collecting 13 disposals through the midfield at an efficiency of 69%, Lonergan’s pressure was fantastic all day with 24 pressure acts and five clearances. Unfortunately, Jesse has been ruled out of the Suns’ round 21 clash with an injury. AFL Fantasy Points: 62

Kade was fantastic by foot with 15 kicks across the defensive 50 and rebounded 50 seven times, as the ball was certainly inside their defensive 50 for a fair chunk of the match. Unlucky not to be in Gold Coast’s best players, Kade was brilliant on Sunday and will be a staple of the Suns defence for several years to come. AFL Fantasy Points: 72

Lachie Weller – Gold Coast #14

Originally From: Burnie Dockers

Lastly, the lone Tasmanian to feature in the Suns’ best players on Sunday, Lachie Weller played a contributing role in the loss. Collecting 16 disposals at an efficiency of 75%, with five marks, five tackles and three inside 50’s accompanying, Weller’s all-round ball movement and disposals showed why the Suns chased him so hard in last year’s off season. AFL Fantasy Points: 80

West Coast vs Fremantle – Optus Stadium, Sunday 05/08/18

Alex Pearce  – Fremantle #25

TSL Club Represented: Devonport

Sunday was a game of 6’s for Pearce, with the key defender collecting six disposals, six contested possessions and six intercept possessions in a game the Dockers would rather forget following the Andrew Brayshaw incident. Pearce and the Dockers will be looking to rebound next week against the Blues’ young forward line. AFL Fantasy Points: 16

Brady Grey – Fremantle #28
