Tasmania’s under-12 School Sports Australia (SSA) team is set to compete at the National Championships in the ACT this week.
The team 23-player squad is made up of prodigious talents from across the state, with Jacob Furphy (Smithton Primary School) and Jude Butler (Taroona Primary School) the co-captains for the week-long Carnival.
The team will be coached by Jamieson Smalley of Elizabeth College, with Peter Brown (Forest Primary School) and Kurt Wheeler (Launceston Football Club) his assistants.
The team will play seven shortened ’round’ matches across the opening four days before being placed in either Pool A or Pool B based on results.

Monday June 4
Tasmania’s Under-12 School Sports Australia (SSA) team has been announced – congratulations to all selected!
The team will travel to Canberra from the 11th – 18th August to compete in the SSA National Carnival.

STATE U12 SSA SQUAD ANNOUNCED
Congratulations to the following boys who have made the State under 12 School Sports Australia (SSA) squad.
There will be compulsory state training this Saturday 5th May at the Campbell Town Football Ground. Players are required to be at the ground by 9.30am for a 10.00am start.
While training is on there will be a parent meeting to outline the program moving forward.
The SSA under 12s carnival will be held in Canberra from Saturday 11th – 18th August.

NORTH WEST U12 SQUAD ANNOUNCED

Congratulation to the following under 12 boys who have been selected to represent the North-West in this Thursday’s (April 26) game at the Campbell Town Football Ground.
Players are required to wear white shorts and maroon socks and are required to pay a $10 levy to pay for the umpires, medical and ground hire.
All players are required to be at the ground at 10:30am for a 11:30am game.
