AFL TAS State Female Academy Positions

AFL Tasmania is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified applicants for the following AFL Tasmania Female Academy positions.

State Female Academy Coach

The State Female Academy Coach (SFAC) is a voluntary position which is entitled to an honorarium. The position oversees the regional/zone academy ensuring that the academy sessions are being delivered and that the talent players are at their best when presented at the AFL National Championships.

Key Selection Criteria
Mandatory
 Level 2 AFL Coaching Accreditation
 Demonstrated ability to influence people, groups and organisations
 Understanding a high performance sports culture
 Developed verbal and written communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
 Demonstrated personal initiative and ability to work effectively in a team environment
 Current Australian Driver Licence
 Current Working with Vulnerable People (Children) Registration
Desirable
 Level 3 AFL Coaching Accreditation or willingness to achieve this level
 Capacity to manage the performance of volunteers
 Demonstrated knowledge of AFL female talent programs
 Experience in working in and developing networks with culturally diverse communities

Regional/Zone Academy Coach
(Positions available Northern, North Western and Southern Regions)
The Regional/Zone Academy Coach is a voluntary position which is entitled to an honorarium. The position delivers the regional/zone academy sessions which are linked to both State Female Academy and TWL Premier Competition.

Key Selection Criteria
Mandatory
 Level 2 AFL Coaching Accreditation or willingness to achieve this level
 Demonstrated ability to influence people, groups and organisations
 Developed verbal and written communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
 Demonstrated personal initiative and ability to work effectively in a team environment
 Current Australian Driver Licence
 Current Working with Vulnerable People (Children) Registration
Desirable
 Understanding a high performance sports culture
 Capacity to manage the performance of volunteers
 Demonstrated knowledge of AFL female talent programs
 Experience in working in and developing networks with culturally diverse communities
