Ulverstone will feature Tasmanian Hall of Fame icon, Richmond legend, Channel 7 Commentator and north-west coaster, Matthew Richardson.
The Launceston forum will play host to one of the all-time great coaches in four-time Hawthorn premiership coach, Alastair Clarkson.
Hobart coaches will get the insights and thoughts of premiership Lion and current North Melbourne coach, Brad Scott.
Tasmanian Football Foundation Chairman Peter Hudson is excited about the upcoming coaching forums – which will kick-start the Foundation’s Coaching Mentor Network, assisting to develop and mentor junior coaches in Tasmania.
“The forums are a fantastic opportunity for Tasmanians to get insights from a favourite son in Matthew Richardson and two current AFL coaches,” Hudson explained.
“It is not an opportunity that presents itself every day so I encourage all coaches to get along and hear from some fantastic football people.
“The forum also sees the start of our Coaching Mentor Network which is a major program for the Tasmanian Football Foundation. We will have more than 20 mentors in the football community working with junior coaches right across the state, mentoring and assisting coaches through their journey in the game.
“The foundation is focused strongly on working to improve grassroots football in Tasmania through supporting and developing junior coaching and the Coaching Mentor Network is the first initiative we have undertaken.”
Each forum will span an hour and give an overview of the new Coaching Mentor Network, introduce the new coach.afl membership system and have a keynote address.
It is an opportunity not to be missed for coaches right across the state and it is free and open to all Tasmanian coaches. No sign up required, coaches can just turn up and enjoy the forum.
