Six Tasmanians have been named in the Allies team that will take on South Australia in round four of the 2018 NAB Under-18 National Championships at GMHBA Stadium, Geelong, this Friday (June 29).

Nicholas Baker, Fraser Turner, Chayce Jones, Rhyan Mansell, Tarryn Thomas and Mitch O’Neill have all been named in the 22. Matthew McGuinness has also been named as an emergency.

After a 23-point win over Victoria Country in round one and a narrow two-point loss to Victoria Metro in round two, the Allies will enter this match fresh off the round three bye.

South Australia look to be one of the teams to beat in 2018, having defeated Victoria Country by 27 points and Western Australia by 89 points in rounds two and three after the round one bye.

The Allies’ fourth and final game of the series will be against Western Australia at Etihad Stadium on Wednesday July 4.
